Then it occurred to me: why not recycle a washed up Bay of Fundy buoy! It just took a couple trips to the beach to locate a used buoy then a bit of craft paint to finish the job.
I'm very pleased with the result...and passersby seem to be as amused as I am by the idea.
Terri,
ReplyDeleteyou are too clever! ... can I borrow the idea?

of course, Tom ... Go right ahead!! :o)
ReplyDeleteWendy and I spoke of it this past week and want one for mom but will do the letters going the other way with a different shaped buoy. Seriously thought 'how clever'.Your new house/home looks very much like a cottage. Gotta get Randy on this one!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool but that buoy looks like a brand new one out of the box, not a used one with a bunch of growth, LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou must have scrubbed her pretty good to get it that pristine white.
Here is a lobster buoy birdfeeder that I happen to think is cool as heck-

BTW, I'm thinking that I'd feel right at home in the Bay of Fundy.
yep it's actually in much better shape on that side than the back, which is very torn up...although I was prepared to touch it up with Polyfill if necessary!!
ReplyDeleteAnd, yes, looking at your blog, I KNOW you'd feel quite at home here too.
